What is Monday Morning??!!
Monday Morning is the first day of camp each week. There are a few important things that happen on Mondays.
Part One: Before the campers arrive
You and your fellow instructors will head to the staff room for 7:30 (A time) Or 8:30 (B time). Make sure to bring your folder of documents from the week prior.
Leave any filled out incident reports, OARS reports, medical forms and attendance sheets from the week prior.
Coordinators will have a brief check in with everyone, updates for the week, issues that may need to be addressed, ect.
Grab your new medical forms, attendance sheet, and top up on incident report forms. Head back to your camp and get ready for the day!
Part Two: With the campers
One instructor should head to before care (In the Red Gym) and pick up the campers who may be there. It will be indicated on your attendance sheet which campers are in before or after care. Take the campers to the drop off point to wait for the rest of the campers.
Parents have a 30 minute check in window (8:00 - 8:30 A Time; 9:00 - 9:30 B Time) to drop their campers off to you. Two instructors need to be at your drop off location 5 minutes early with your sign and important form folder.
Check with the guardians that each camper has a signed informed consent, photo release and medical information documents. They need to have these forms filled by the end of the day to come back to camp on Tuesday.
Flag the location of any emergency medical supplies a camper may have with them (I.e flagging tape on the backpack pocket a camper keeps their EpiPen in)
Make sure guardians know their password for pick up in the afternoon. You can give them a hint, but client services is the only one who can reveal the password.
Once you have all your campers (be aware, there may be several lost parents on Monday morning, so it might take a little longer) head to your classroom and start your week!
